My Apologies and Catching Up

It's been over a year since I last posted....I do apologize for that. I had a lot going on in my personal life.

I would, however, like to mention I cleaned up the shop a little bit. I've stopped making jewelry to sell for the time being and a focusing mainly on my crocheting with a little bit or wood burning thrown in for clocks and such. New items are on the way and maybe some patterns as well.

In the future, you'll hear about some large crochet projects I'm going to be working on, or...hopefully will be working on. More detail on these later ;)

I'm thinking about going in a new direction with this store blog, but it's still up for debate so I'm not going to mention anything yet.

Back Up and Running Strong! Major Update!

Hey guys, okay so I know it's been the longest time since my last post and there is a good reason. If you haven't stopped by my shop for a while, you probably haven't known that I've been without internet for a while. I've been getting on at my uncles every saturday since and try to hop onto unsecure wireless signals from moms (with barely any luck) so I haven't had much time to actually get on and check around. However, the time at my uncles was enough to keep track of in coming sales and expiring items so I was content with that at the moment

Well, in that time frame, I kept busy. I got more items done, reshot photos, edited them and had item measurements (jewelry mainly) taken.

Here's the good news. I'm back online. Officially, I was back online a few weeks ago and today I caught up on almost everything. I've listed a whole slew of new items and that's just tonight alone. I'm not going into detail about the whole getting internet back thing, but I do need to thank my grandfather and Virgin Mobile.

Now, I'd like to update you all on a couple of things. I no longer sell photographs in Rayvenstars Gifts. Does that mean I don't do photography anymore? No, it doesn't. What happened was that I had too many "hobbies" in the shop between the jewelry and crochet (which are the 2 main hobbies). Photography was a fighting third.

What I did was I opened up a second shop, Rayven's Photo Box, where you'll find those photos. Currently, I only have 8X10s for sale, but soon I'll have larger sizes available. For now, feel free to check it out :)

I believe that may be it for now, lol. So now, what I'll do is I'll include some of the new items below.

In light of the recent tragedy, 10-20% of each sale in the shop will be donated to either the Red Cross or to the Salvation Army via paypal. This will continue as long as paypal allows me to do such. Percentage varies on price of what is sold

Okay guys, this is where I need YOU to give me input! Do you guys remember Hugbert? if not check out the album (on Facebook: see here) THEN come back here. ANYWAY, I'm thinking of doing a resize of him for a cute "minibert" so i have two versions to make and sell. Now, here's where you guys come in. I need/want you to leave a comment on this post saying either "yes, this is a good idea" or "no, this is a horrible idea". If yes, give me a suitable price range. The price for a full size Hugbert is $40-$50 and he's gonna be half the size (approximatly) that the original is. So, think it over and let me know.
